overview
At Ardence International Secondary School, our Cambridge Lower Secondary programme, Key Stage 3 (KS3), offers a robust foundation for students in Years 7, 8, and 9. This stage is pivotal in laying the groundwork for success in the subsequent educational stages, providing a comprehensive and balanced curriculum that nurtures intellectual curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
What is KS3 in Cambridge Lower Secondary?
Key Stage 3 (KS3) is the first stage of secondary education in the Cambridge curriculum, typically covering students aged 11 to 15. The programme is designed to build on the knowledge and skills acquired in primary education, preparing students for the rigours of Cambridge Upper Secondary (IGCSE) and beyond. Through a broad range of subjects, KS3 helps students develop a deeper understanding of core academic concepts while fostering personal and social growth.
ASsessment
At the end of Key Stage 3 (Year 9), our students are subjected to external assessments through the international Secondary assessments administered by the UK International Certification Board. This will cover 5 major subjects: English, Maths, Science, Computer, and Global Citizenship/Global Perspectives.
Our personalised approach to learning in Secondary means that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive in an environment that prioritises academic care and a focus on the development of the whole child
